Welcome to Namibia!
This web site is a work in progress, intended to provide you
with a first-hand view of life in Uukwiyoongwe Village and my
work at Uukwiyoongwe Combined School.
To say that this is an enriching, frustrating, and often times
over-whelming project is an understatement.
I look forward to sharing my experience with you. Please check
back as our website reveals the many stories of life here in my
village. Many thanks to my sister Megan and brother-in-law Greg
for their help in developing and managing this site. And a
special thanks to everyone who has helped support me emotionally
in this journey and made contributions to the project. This is
truly an international experience and I’m thankful for your
